Coaching at the club is run by Charles Dainton, Head Coach, who is supported by a number of volunteer helpers, the majority of whom are parents of club swimmers. We are committed to building and developing our team of coaches and helpers through training programmes, accredited courses and continuous professional development. In addition to working poolside during training sessions, coaches also support swimmers at competitions. As part of our child welfare policy, we ask coaches and helpers to go through a CRB check before they work unsupervised with swimmers; those who have been checked wear royal blue HHSC t-shirts. Most of our coaches hold the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches from the Royal Life Saving Society.
