Swimming is a superb way to build your fitness and stamina and will enhance any other sports you do, plus lead to a healthy life style; and lots of fun is to be had in competitive swimming. We aim to help all swimmers fulfil their competitive potential and to retain our status as the best swimming club in the area.
In 2008 we had a swimmer representing the club in the finals at the ASA National Age Group Championships in Sheffield, over 10 swimmers at the Eastern Regional Swimming Championships in Norwich and over 50 swimmers competing in the Hertfordshire County Age Group Championships. Our aim is to increase the number of swimmers competing at County, Regional and National level. We can do this by offering swimmers up to 9.5 hours of pool training time per week. For swimming group times click on the menu item Swimming groups above.
In addition, swimmers are encouraged to do land training once a week to improve their overall fitness. Land training is on Monday evenings during term time, from 7.00-8.00pm at Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School, Peascroft Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 8ER.
