    This is a scheme run by the ASA under which swimmers can collect badges when they have successfully achieved the required times at specific strokes and distances.

    Swimmers are expected to attend every training session with certain items of training equipment depending on which Swimming Group they have been allocated to.

    Group Leaders are responsible for co-ordinating the activity of a number of different coaches for one or more swimming groups.

    The club organises its training programme by grouping swimmers according to their ability, attitude and age. The youngest swimmers entering the club will go into Aquabears then progress up through the different levels.

    There are lots of publications and email newsletters available on various swimming subjects and most of them are free - a list recommended by the ASA can be found in a document here
