Watford L3 County Qualifier - 15/16 January 2011

We are encouraging as many of our swimmers as possible to enter Watford Swimming Club’s County Qualifier Meet which is to be held on the 15th & 16th January at Woodside Leisure Centre, Watford. This is one of the most important Meets in the HHSC calendar as it gives swimmers one of the last chances to try to achieve County times, or a chance to improve official times before entering Counties.

All distances and events are covered.  If you are in any doubt as to whether this Meet is suitable for you, please discuss with your group coach.

This is a Level 3 licensed meet, therefore you must meet the qualifying times to enter.

We have set the closing date for the 19th October 2010.  This will give you a chance to use times achieved at the Birthday Open and the Barnet 200m Open Meet.  If you are concerned that come January your times entered will not be current, remember that this Meet is an extremely busy one and will fill up quickly.  All clubs will be entering using times achieved in the autumn.

Entry Forms and information relating to the meet are now available in the rack at SportSpace or to download on our website here. Cheques payable to HHSC.  Entries to Carryl Baughan.

Please note that if you’re looking to improve existing County times there is a Maxwell L2 meet the following weekend for which the entry documentation has yet to be released but which again normally covers all events.  However whereas Watford is operated on a first come, first served basis, the Maxwell meet normally prioritises on the basis of entry times and is routinely over-subscribed.
