Hemel finish first!

Hemel Hempstead competed in round one of the Chiltern League against Dunstable, Putteridge, Leighton Buzzard, Team Luton and Kidlington at the Dunstable Leisure Centre.

On the night Hemel finished in 1st place. A hard fought gala and a fantastic team effort by all, especially those that swam up age groups.

Tom Worrell was Hemels male swimmer of the gala gaining PB’s in the 14+U  50m Backstroke, the Mens open 4 x 50m Medley Relay and Boys 14+U  4 x 25m Medley Relay 4 x 50m Medley Relay and Boys 14+U  4 x 25m relay.   Eleanor Clark was awarded Hemels female swimmer of the gala gaining PBs for her 14+U 50m Butterfly, Ladies open 100m Breaststroke, Girls 4 x 25m Medley Relay and the Ladies Open 4 x 50m Free Relay.

Many other team members achieved Personal Best times in their events, congratulations to Sam Garratt, Oliver Burrough (3), Amelia Gillespie (2), Niall Marsden, Leila Marsden (3), Jamie Sewell (3), Ajay Gill (2), Emily Kilbane, Nell Baughan, Dominic Hampstead (2), Miya McFarlane (2), Neil Brevern (3), Mattias Morse (2), Rebbeca Rumble, Fiona Cox, Nathan Lodge, Chelsea Van Gelder and Jamie Stone.

In total 40 PB’s were achieved on the night.
