Hemel swimmers too fast!

Swimmers from Hemel Hempstead travelled to Leighton Buzzard for round three of the Chiltern League. They competed against Linslade, Leighton Buzzard, Witney, Henley and Dunstable.  Hemel finished in 3rd place on the night.

A huge effort by all the swimmers achieving an impressive 43 PB’s or new times, in 12 of the 50 races our Hemel swimmers were too fast!

The Hemel team achieved 9 first, 9 second and 5 third place finishes.

The firsts with notable swims in their individual races came from Melissa Brandon, Deanna Coe, Rayne Marsh, Chelsea Van Gelder, Oliver Burrough, Dominic Hampstead and Nicolas Martinez and the other two firsts came from strong swims from the girls 10+U Free relay team (Mia McFarlane, Emily Gaddes, Deanna Coe and Zara Rafiq-Craske) and the girls 12+U Free relay team (Rayne Marsh, Tarryn Smith, Maisie Vincent and Emily Kilbane).

The second place finishes were all from individual swims by Fred Hockin, Michael Broner, Jonny Farrow, James McFarlane, Tarryn Smith, Emily Kilbane, Annabel Hockin, Jamie Stone and Melissa Brandon.

Swimmers of the Gala were Michael Broner and Zara Rafiq-Craske.
