There was lots of great racing; personal best times and new club age group records set on the first weekend of the 2017 Hertfordshire county championships. Full details will follow but the highlights were two gold medals for Grace Cawley in the 100 breast (in a new age group club record time) and 200 IM along with silver in the 100 back. There were silver medals for Holly Robinson (in a new age group club record time) and Shona McKenna in the 100 back and Alice Fender in the 200 IM, and bronze medals for Josh Gaines (100 back), Shona McKenna (100 free) and Jack Christie (100 breast).  The following also qualified to swim in the finals by finishing in the top eight of their age group - Millie Anderton, Seyi Bankole, Joe Coldwell, Jonny Farrow, Keelin McKenna, Mattias Morse, Henry Newbury-Kemp and Georgia Purkis. Heidi Gibbens knocked almost 5 seconds off the 25-29 age group record for 100 breast and new boy Joel Green knocked almost 4 seconds off the 16 yr old 100 back record.
