Arena 2011 round three

Medals Galore at Birthday Open 2011

There was a high medal tally for Hemel Hempstead SC’s swimmers at the annual Birthday Open meet.  Nineteen swimmers won at least one gold medal, showing depth of talent across all age ranges and strokes.

Annette Thatcher - new regional record holder

Congratulations to Annette, our only swimmer in the ASA East Region Open Masters Championships who won all four of the events she entered, setting a new regional record in the 50 free.

Arena 2011 round one

Hemel Hempstead SC’s 2011/12season got underway with the first round of the Arena League at Borehamwood.  A total of twenty top three finishes, including eight new PBs, saw the club finish a commendable third place out of the eight teams competing.
