Hemel Hempstead SC’s 2011/12season got underway with the first round of the Arena League at Borehamwood. A total of twenty top three finishes, including eight new PBs, saw the club finish a commendable third place out of the eight teams competing.

Hemel Hempstead SC has concluded three weekends of Sprint Club Championships with swimmers from all sections of the club, from 6 year-olds to Masters, taking part.
For some swimmers this was their first taste of competition and, whilst the home atmosphere was friendly, the competitive spirit ran high with some fierce racing.

Congratulations to Charles Dainton, our former Head Coach, who has been installed as President of the Hertfordshire ASA for 2011/12, succeeding George Kent. Charles was presented with his chain of office at the association's Annual Council Meeting in Welwyn on 5th July. He will spend the year overseeing all of Herts ASA's activities, including swimming, diving, open water, water polo and synchronised swimming, as well as being part of the management team.

Hemel Hempstead SC completed our Peanuts campaign with a top three spot for our first team. The Blue Team swimming in Division One put in 27 PBs to finish third in the gala and third overall in the hotly contested league.
