Chilterns League - round 1 result
Sunday, 26 January 2014 13:45
The first round of Chilterns League saw Hemel finishing third with swimmers recording 72 PB's, one of the highest number of PB's in a single gala we can remember!  Any number of swimmers could have been awarded the swimmer of the gala award but the nod finally went to Ajay Gill and Megan Stockford for their PBs and general attitude.  Congratulations also to Megan, Amelie Perrault, Sam Warner, Lauren Herlock and Izzy Bushe on winning their individual events; there were simply too many second places to mention!

1500/800 time trial
Sunday, 26 January 2014 13:29
Congratulations to the 48 swimmers who turned out on Saturday evening for the annual 1500/800 time trial.  There were 44 PB's or first time swims, 12 county qualifying times and both Tom Sherriff and Aimee Abrey swam under the regional qualification time in their respective events.  But perhaps most noteworthy was the spirit of the evening with lots of very vocal support for those in the pool - it's not easy to maintain that level of enthusiasm for these events over nearly 3 hours of racing, but somehow we managed it!
